I'm a real fan of kissable, edible sex essentials: they're just so fun!
After all, in my sex life I've always wanted variety: why using the same lube or massage oil over and over again, when I can try hundreds of different fragrances and flavours?
A natural, sweet flavour definitely adds that special something to my sexual encounters with my partner: it encourages us to test how our mouths feel on the different parts of our bodies, discovering new erogenous zones we had never imagined before. Isn't this romantic?
I say very often that a couple should try a kissable product at least once in their life. Once you start using them, I promise you'll never go back!
So, you can imagine how happy I was when I was contacted by the Spanish company Nuei, one of the most reputable erotic cosmetics' manufacturers in Europe! I was over the moon to be chosen for testing and reviewing a selection of their famous products for my readers!
And the best part is, that the folks at Nuei have been generous enough to send me an incredibly huge selection of erotic cosmetics to review: I was impressed when, inside my parcel, I found not one, but two gorgeous gift boxes full of interesting goodies!
However, I won't be a spoiler: I'm not going to reveal right now all the products that were in my press kit. I guess you'll have to wait for all the reviews to go live on my blog!
I'll only admit that I was intrigued the most by the Hot Oil, a kissable massage product with a warming effect, available in many different flavours: that's why it's the protagonist of my first review for the Spanish company!
I got in my press kit all the flavours available for the Hot Oil: Tangerine, Strawberry, Cola, Watermelon, Caramel, Coconut and Wild Blackberry.
I am used to work with sex toy companies who are very generous with sending me press kits for review: but Nuei, sending my way 7x100ml bottles of massage oil along with many other goodies, really touched my heart. Thanks a lot, Nuei!
The packaging
Each massage oil has a bright-coloured label that matches the colour of the product itself, visible through the translucent bottle. Every colour matches the flavour of the product: the Strawberry one is obviously bright pink, the Watermelon one is green and the Wild Blackberry is purple, only to name a few. I had never seen before massage products in such bright colours: after all, the eye wants its satisfaction too, and the Nuei Hot Oils will be a nice change from my usual translucent or white-ish massage products!
On the back of the label I can find all the info I need at a glance: the INCI of the product, its shelf life and a short description in different languges.
The INCI
I'll transcript the INCI of the strawberry-flavoured massage oil as an example:
Ingredients: Glycerin, Aroma, Propylene Glycol, Aqua, Panax Ginseng Root Extract, Sodium Saccharin, Sodium Benzoate, Potassium Sorbate, c.i. 17200.
Sodium Saccharin and Glycerin may trigger yeast infections in predisposed women: I would advise against putting this product on your vagina if you're prone to this health condition.
About Propylene Glycol there are lots of controversial opinions online, but it's approved by the FDA as a food and cosmetic additive 'generally recognized as safe'.
Panax Ginseng Root Extract is the active principle that causes the warming effect on the skin.
Sodium Benzoate and Potassium Sorbate are preservatives, while c.i. 17200 is a colorant, that will obviously be different for every flavour.
The product
I confess I was incredibly attracted by the bright green colour of the Watermelon massage oil, so I wanted to try it first while playing with my partner!
We had a lot of fun seeing our most erogenous zones covered in a translucent light green layer of product: pretty but subtle, and it didn't make us look like aliens!
The product's consistency doesn't remind me of an oil at all: it's very lightweight. The Nuei Hot Oil looks like a gel at first sight, but it's absolutely not sticky and thinner than the average flavoured lubricant.
We found that it glides surprisingly well on the skin despite the ultra-light texture: it doesn't dry too fast, allowing for some well-deserved relaxing time.
To start feeling the warming effect, we needed to wait for a few seconds, while massaging throroughly the product into the skin: the sensation was pleasurable and stimulating.
Definitely, when we applied the Hot Oil on our bodies' most erogenous zones, we could feel a sensation-amplifying effect!
The flavours
We couldn't manage to find, among those 7 delicious flavours, one that tasted too much like chemicals: they're all sweet but not nauseous, and with no nasty aftertaste.
My favourite so far is Watermelon, that tastes truly like the real thing in my opinion, followed by Strawberry, that has a sweet and sultry scent. I could smell it through the bottle even before opening it!
My partner's favourites are Tangerine, citrusy but not overpowering, and Wild Blackberry, with its fresh berry fragrance.
Other flavours and fragrances were great as well in our opinion, and trying them all made for hours and hours of sexy fun in our bedroom.
