Pleasurelab Rocking Rabbit and Willie Duo Vibrator review

Updated: Aug 20, 2018

Rabbit vibrators and condoms from the same, high quality brand

Willie Toys is a relatively unknown brand here in Italy: I had never heard about it before being contacted by Safe, the renowned condom company, asking me if I would like to try some sex toys from this range.

That's because Willie Toys is part of the Safe group: so I already knew that, when testing their vibrators and dildos, I was going to be spoilt with the same quality of my favourite condoms and personal lubricants.

Of course, I accepted the challenge: I was more than curious to discover more about this brand!

The Pleasurelab Rocking Rabbit Vibrator

This baby made my mouth water as soon as I opened my parcel! Its stylish black box has a big picture of the rabbit vibrator itself on the front: if it looks so good even in a photo, who knows how gorgeous it will be when it'll be in my hands? I already can notice, under the see-through hot pink material of the vibe, almost five rows of stimulating beads, and I can't be more thrilled...

On the sides of the cardboard packaging I can find clearly listed all the specifics of my new sex toy: it will offer me 12 vibration modes as well as 3 rotation modes (yeah, those five rows of beads actually ROTATE!), it requires 3 AAA batteries and it's phtalate-free. I'm further reassured by the wording NO PLASTICIZERS.

According to what's written on the box, the materials are silicone and ABS plastic: it also says to only use water-based lubes, that may be obvious for me but not for less experienced users.

But then, while I unbox this gorgeous bunny vibe and get it into my own hands, I start doubting about whether it's really made from silicone, or rather from some sort of body-safe TPR. Yes, it doesn't smell like rubber at all, and it feels surprisingly good to the touch, but honestly, who has ever seen translucent silicone? And what's most important, it seems way softer and squishier than silicone.

So, I decide to contact Safe to stop my guessing game: they confirm that this rabbit is made from body-safe, phtalate-free silicone. I think they made it translucent somehow becuase they wanted to give the toy the traditional "Sex and the City rabbit vibrator" look without using porous or potentially harmful materials.

Then, I slightly panicked when it came the moment to insert the 3 AAA batteries. The battery slot isn't what you would define simple and/or intuitive, but with the help of Eloise, my dear friend who owns Sexy Shop Tentazione in Tuscany, I finally could figure out how to insert them correctly and I was ready to go! Two batteries on the back, another on the front, and the bunny finally came to life!

As for the two powerful motors (a bullet vibrator is clearly visible through the translucent dolphin shape of the clitoral stimulator) I can say that I'm not disappointed at all. I usually don't like battery powered vibrators, but this baby packs just the right amount of buzz for me, even if I admit I've jumped directly to the highest vibration settings.

Willie Toys Duo Vibrator

It's curious how, when you browse Willie.nl (Willie Toys' official shop), you see most rabbit vibrators called "duo vibrator". Perhaps it's a particular Dutch expression?

What's sure, is that in my goodies parcel I was amazed to find the gorgeous Willie Duo Vibrator: it's so stylish in its bright purle colour, and so classy with its modern, minimal look.

As soon as I see the pic of the toy on the front of its colorful cardboard box, I start craving those pleasure ribs on its tip, clearly intended to stimulate the G-spot. Whoa!

I really like the box: it's minimal, discreet and it includes all the info I need to know about my new vibe: it will offer me 12 different vibration patterns, it requires 2xAA batteries it's made from phtalate-free silicone with no plasticizers. I'm also advised to only use water-based lubes.

I'm sorry, but I can't help laughing out loud at the wording "Splashwaterproof" on the packaging. I doubt for a moment if the toy will be 100% waterproof, or just splashproof but not submersible. Then, for safety reasons, I decide to translate that funny word in "splashproof, but not submersible". Better be safe than sorry!

As soon as I get the toy itself in my hands, I notice it is truly flexible: it's a requirement I absolutely need to make a rabbit vibrator work for me. The material is perhaps not as soft and velvety as those "soft-touch silicones" of certain more expensive sex toys, but it's still smooth and pleasant to the touch.

It's not as big as the Pleasurelab Rocking Rabbit: it's slightly smaller, more lightweight and portable. Perhaps it will become my new handbag vibrator!

Once again, I have a slight panick attack when it comes the time to insert the batteries: I quickly understand that I'll need AAA batteries, not the AA ones. It's perhaps a mistake or misspelling on the box: luckily, once I figure out the correct batteries to use, the Willie Duo Vibrator comes to life!

The motor is surprisingly strong, perhaps stronger than the ones of most battery-operated sex toys I own. Since I need intense, rumbly vibrations, especially on my clitoris, I jump straight to the highest settings, skipping the most delicate ones. I absolutely like the pulsating patterns: they're a refreshing change from the usual steady vibrations! I can definitely feel the stimulating ribs on the tip of the toy, and the curved shape works perfectly on my G-spot. I dare to say that the clever design makes this Duo Vibrator just as effective as high-end rechargeable toys.

You can buy both models from Willie.nl: you can find the Willie Duo Vibrator here and the Pleasurelab Rocking Rabbit here.

I got both rabbit vibrators free of charge from Safe in exchange for my honest review. Thanks a lot Safe, it's always a pleasure to work with your company! Unaffiliated post.
