It's reviewing time: the product of today is once again manufactured by MEO.de. I have in my hand one of the best-selling products of their adult store: the EXTREMEO Anal Comfort spray!
The EXTREMEO arrived in the usual plain brown box I get from MEO: nothing fancy stated on the waybill, that could get my nosy neighbors curious. Its black, classy 30ml bottle was sealed with the usual hygienic plastic translucent seal: this also prevents spills during the shipping, that may cause you to receive a broken, already half-empty bottle.
The first thing I noticed is the smell of the product that I can't exactly describe as a fragrance: not very pleasant, but neither strong enough to be annoying. Scrolling through the reviews on the product page at MEO, I see some other users compared this spray's smell to clove oil's, and suddenly a light bulb turned on in my brain: in the INCI I read 'Eugenia Caryophyllus', that is exactly clove essential oil!
That's also the cause of the mild tingling sensation I felt while testing the product on my hand: have you ever tried a drop of clove oil on your skin? Luckily, the EXTREMEO tingles let's say 60% less than if you were using a pure essential oil from clove: otherwise I wouldn't be able to spray it on my private parts!
So, what's clove oil to do with anal comfort? It has well-known soothing properties that relax the anal muscles including the sphincter, and it is a source of Eugenol, a natural painkiller. That's why our grandmothers used it to calm toothaches!
Other than this, clove oil has also antiseptic and antibacterial properties: this is a great plus when we are talking about anal sex to avoid spreading bacteria from the anus to other sensitive parts of the body (the vagina, for example).
But let's see the EXTREMEO's INCI in better detail:
Aqua, Glycerin, Laureth-9, PEG-6, Caprylic/Capric, Glycerides, Methyl Lactate, Lactic Acid, Eugenia Caryophyllus, Sodium Benzoate, Potassium Sorbate, Eugenol.
Eugenol is the same natural painkiller we already find in clove oil: its presence both in the plant derived oil and as a standalone ingredient makes me think this product has a high concentration of it. That's why it's marketed as extra strong!
I'm happy to see Lactic Acid, an ingredient frequently used in feminine intimate hygiene products because it regulates the pH of the product to a vagina-friendly value. This means the pH of the EXTREMEO is tailor-made for our intimate parts, both male and female. Glycerin and PEG-6 are both moisturizing agents and we already said in other reviews of mine that sadly all PEG ingredients are derived from petroleum.
Sodium Benzoate and Potassium Sorbate are preservatives.
I found the spray to be non-greasy: it dries almost instantly and I found the clove oil's smell tends to fade after a while. Or perhaps it was me getting too distracted with sexy things to notice it anymore?
Once dried the spray leaves no residue on the skin: that's why MEO recommends to use the EXTREMEO in combination with some of their best anal lubricants like the FUCKSLUT or the EZ2FUCK. I think we should always keep in mind that this product is not a lubricant and has no gliding properties.
On a side note, I also read on MEO's official website that the product is not compatible with latex condoms: I think it's an important info to share!
The instructions for use are clearly stated on the back of the bottle: it says to apply two sprays of the product on the, ahem, affected area and to avoid contact with other parts of the body.
I can't say I engaged in extreme anal sex after using this, but I still noticed an improvement in my comfort. Also, I didn't feel less sensitive than before using this at all. The mild tingling sensation faded after a while and I simply forgot about having the EXTREMEO applied to my most sensitive part.
I just used two doses as suggested on the label: the amount of product dispensed with each spray isn't huge so I think the 30ml bottle will last a lot.
I would buy the EXTREMEO again to improve my comfort while exploring in more depth the world of anal sex, since its visible muscle-relaxing effect makes me more confident to push my boundaries: if you want to try it for yourself, you have different options at MEO's official shop.
