Intense Safe (Ribs & Dots) condoms from Safe

Updated: Jul 17, 2018

I've been on the pill since I can remember, or better: since I'm sexually active. A heavy and painful period, preceded by an awful PMS, made hormonal contraception mandatory to mitigate my symptoms.

That doesn't mean that my partner and I never use condoms: some kinds of medications, like the antibiotics I need when I suffer from toothache, interact with my pill, nullifying its contraceptive action. Or, it happens that sometimes I forget to take it.

So, my Daddy Dom and I try to never run out of condoms: better safe than sorry!

Today we're going to test and review the Intense Safe (Ribs & Dots) condoms from the renowned Dutch brand Safe: we've been very curious about them, and we feel so lucky to collaborate with such a great company!

The packaging

The minimal style of the packaging, in white and bright yellow, is pleasant and non-intimidating. We imagine that its vivid colours will catch the attention of younger people on the shelves of a store or in the condom vending machine!

But, what we truly appreciate, is that on the back of the box there are detailed instructions for use: basically, there's written everything a young inexperienced couple needs to know about how to put the condom on, how to remove it and how to store the contraceptives safely. Good job, Safe! Sex education is never too much, especially when it comes to safe sex.

On the side of the box are indicated the actual measurements of the condoms: they're 19cm long, and 52mm wide, the same size of our usual standard ones.

We think that seeing the measurements clearly stated on the packaging is vital to determine if they could be the right size for you: every dick is different, and male contraceptives aren't one-size-fits-all!

The expiry date of the product and the lot number are printed both on the bottom of the box, and on the back of each foil. Inside the box, there's a leaflet with simple visual instructions for use: once again, we're impressed at the effort that Safe puts into educating the consumers about safe sex!

The product

After opening carefully the bright yellow foil, we notice that the Intense Safe condom is way more lubricated in comparison with other brands: it's completely covered in a lightweight oil, both internally and externally. It leaves your hands a little greasy, but the extra lubrication makes it particularly easy to put on.

The colour of the condom is yellow-ish, but it looks translucent once correctly placed on the penis: as you can see from the slideshow below, our beloved Pipedream Basix Rubber Worx dildo is rocking it! The product doesn't smell like rubber at all: its lower part is dotted, while immediately below the glans there are stimulating ribs.

Her impressions

The ribbed and dotted texture really makes for different, intense sensations during intercourse: I love in particular the feeling of the ribs, that tickle my G-spot thanks to their ideal position just below the glans.

But the dots feel great, too: they stimulate the entrance of the vagina, creating unusual but pleasant sensations.

His impressions

The condom is quite thin in comparison with other brands, and I think that it offers a good sensitivity during sex.

Plus, seeing Miss Doll's (super positive!) reaction to the stimulating texture is a huge turn-on for me too.

We loved the Intense Safe condoms because of their extra lubrication, their sensitivity and the effectiveness of their stimulating texture: we'll buy them again!

If you would like to try them, you can find a list of Safe's authorized resellers here.

We got the product for free in exchange for our honest review: thanks Safe, we're very glad to collaborate with your company! Unaffiliated post.
