Today I'm gonna review an authentic treat for all the sexy people with a sweet tooth: the Cock Candy Oral Sex Gel in Piña Colada from MEO.de!
The readers who already followed me as a guest reviewer for the Pleasure Panel know I'm a huge fan of erotic cosmetics, and the kissable ones hold a special place in my heart: they awaken my senses with fancy scents and flavors, making foreplay an unique experience, that can be different every time I try a new product.
So when I saw in my press kit parcel from MEO a travel-sized bottle of piña colada flavoured lube, I couldn't be happier! I knew I was going to like it, so, let's head on to the review!
First of all, I must note the 30 ml bottle is quite small and it will be used up very fast at my house! From one side it's a good thing: it helps you to not get bored of the same flavour over and over again. I always try to not buy huge bottles of kissable products because I like to change quite often: better two travel-sized lubes in different flavours.
From the other side, however, the 30ml sized Cock Candy costs 9.90 € at MEO.de (that's 8.67£ and 12.19$ on 29th March2018 at 18.00): I would say it's not really cheap compared to other products. So I was expecting excellent quality from this Oral Sex Gel.
My cute white and yellow bottle was sealed with the usual hygienic protection plastic wrap I always find in sex essentials by this German brand. As soon as I opened the plastic seal I could smell a summery, yummy coconut scent that immediately made my mouth watery!
When squirting the first dab of this product on my hand I could immediately recognize the typical consistency I love in oral sex lubes: it has that jelly-like texture that drives me crazy licking it as if it was a real dessert! I didn't find it sticky compared to other lubes I had already tested: but obviously, it is a little thicker than most of the unscented and unflavored ones. Also, I was expecting a clear gel: instead it's pleasantly white-ish, as if it was a coconut ice cream or jelly (yum!)
I found the taste to be sweet, not "chemical" at all and with no aftertaste: it was like that tropical fruit juice I enjoy at summer. I think MEO has guessed the flavor that was the most appropriate for me at this time of the year: I've been so tired of the bad weather and I'm really longing after summer! What could be best than a coconut-pineapple flavoured lube to make me dream of wild sex on the beach?
But now it's time to come back down to earth and to check the INCI of our Cock Candy gel:
Ingredients: Glycerin, Aqua, Hydroxypropyl Guar, Propylene Glycol, Panthenol, Sodium Sacharin, Citric Acid, Aroma (Flavor), Titandioxid
Propylene Glycol has been very controversial on online beauty forums and blogs, because it's a syntetic additive derived from petroleum, however I can see that many other sources describe it as not-so-dangerous: even Environmental Working Group's Skin Deep® Cosmetics Database, a source I trust a lot because it provides information from published scientific literature, rates it as "low overall hazard".
Hydroxypropyl Guar is the ingredient that gives to our gel that pleasant jelly-like consistency, Titanium Dioxide is the white-ish colorant and Panthenol a moisturizing agent.
Nothing in the INCI lets me think this product is not safe for ingestion in small quantities.
For what concerns Sodium Saccharin, an artificial sweetener, I had a doubt about its safety for vaginal use. I decided to contact the customer care to clarify this.
Wolf Sundermann, the awesome managing director at MEO, kindly answered that the company doesn't recommend this flavoured lube for vaginal use: for this purpose, they recommend the FUCKSLUT, a silicone-based sex lubricant that feels like a high-end beauty serum on the skin.
Overall, the Cock Candy is a quality flavoured lubricant I would buy again: even if slightly more expensive, I can say I prefer this to other similar products because of the stronger scent and non-chemical taste. I plan on trying other flavors as well: there are available strawberry-kiwi, vanilla, strawberry and cherry.
I will perhaps buy in the future the COCK CANDY Value Pack with all the five flavours: at 49,50€ for five 30ml bottles you pay exactly the same price that if you bought the five bottles individually, but you get a cute transparent travel bag that will come in handy for my visits to Daddy!
