I'm so proud to announce that I'm collaborating with one of the most renowned sex essentials brands in the industry: Pjur Love! I've been longing to try their huge variety of lubricants and sex aids for a long time!
Luckily for me, I got from Vanessa, the kind PR manager of the company, a huge kit of samples to review for my readers: today, I want to talk about the Pjur MySpray stimulant for women, and the Pjur MyGlide, a warming lubricant enriched with Ginseng extract.
As I can read from the company's official website, the two products are perfect to be used together as well as separately: that's why I decided to test both of them for a single review.
An intensifying effect is what I'm hoping to get from both of them, so let's get started!
Pjur MyGlide
The bright pink packaging is pleasantly feminine and bold enough to make a statement in my sex toys' box. The product is sealed in a plastic wrap to guarantee it's unopened, for best hygiene, and the INCI is clearly visible on the back of the bright pink label:
Ingredients: Glycerin, Aqua (Water), Hydroxypropyl Guar Hydroxypropyltrimonium Chloride, Hydroxyethylcellulose, Panax Ginseng (Root Water) Extract, Benzyl Alcohol, Benzoic Acid, Sorbic Acid, Phenoxyethanol, Methylparaben, Ethylparaben, Propylparaben, Butylparaben, CI 14700 (FD&C Red No.4).
The Ginseng extract is the active principle that creates the warming and stimulating effect. Sadly, as you can see, some ingredients end in –paraben, and Glycerin is probably not the best lube ingredient for women who are prone to yeast infections: it may worsen their health condition.
The product is water-based, so it's compatible with all sex toys and condoms.
On the label I can read that the MyGlide has a lifespan of 12 months after opening. Also, a QR code printed above the INCI, next to the CE mark, makes me extremely curious...but sadly my old crappy phone doesn't allow me to scan it!
The product is completely unscented. It feels smooth and slightly more liquid than other lubricants, so it's not sticky at all: once applied, it feels very lightweight on the skin. I only needed a penny-sized quantity of the product to get a nice gliding effect.
Despite being so thin and lightweight, this lube isn't runny: it tends to stay where you put it, limiting the need for clean-up after playing.
After two or three uses, I have now learnt that it takes a while for me to start feeling the warming effect. Perhaps it's because I've always applied a very small quantity of the product, but the sensation is very mild and not overpowering: definitely, it's less strong in comparison with other products that contain capsaicin or similar ingredients derived from chili pepper.
Still, this product gives me the intensifying effect I was hoping for: the excellent gliding properties of the MyGlide and its gentle warm feeling have made for great sessions of partner and toy play in my experience.
MySpray
Once again, the packaging impresses me thanks to its bold hot pink colour. On the side of the outer cardboard box, detailed instructions teach me how to get the most from this product: '1 to 3 sprays are appropriate for one application. Keep out of reach from children. Do not spray onto open wounds.'
Inside the little box, the spray is kept in vertical position by a cardboard piece: no spills during shipping!
The INCI is printed both on the outer box and on the label of the spray itself:
Ingredients: Propylene Glycol, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, Aqua, Methyl Nicotinate.
Once again, I can't see capsaicin nor menthol: so, I'm not expecting the traditional warming/cooling sensation, but a completely new eperience.
From a short research on the internet, looks like to me that Methyl Nicotinate is the tingling and prickling active principle: I can read it's used in topical drugs against muscle and joint pain, and that it's safe for use on the skin.
I'm surprised to see that the product contains Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice: this spray will not only be a sexy stimulating treat, but it'll also soothe and nourish my intimate skin!
A bright yellow clock on the outer packging lets me know that a few minutes are needed to experience the prickling sensation: that's exactly what happens when I first apply the spray.
After that minute or two, while the product was working its magic, the sensation feels intense: it's like 90% tingling and 10% warming, and it truly adds sensitivity during play sessions.
The product is completely liquid, and feels extremely lightweight on the skin.
MyGlide + MySpray
My experience with the use of both products in combination has been very positive for now: the MyGlide adds just the right slipperiness, while the MySpray plays the major role giving the stimulating, arousing effect.
In conclusion
Both MyGlide and MySpray are worth trying: the first one is a non-sticky water-based lubricant, with a thin texture that's very similar to natural vaginal moisture. It provides a slight warming effect that is very pleasurable, however, if you're looking for added stimulation and an arousing effect, I would recommend the MySpray, that provides intense sensations I really liked.
At the official shop of the brand Pjur Love, you can find the MyGlide at 19,95€ here and the MySpray at 18.95€ here.
This post does not contain affiliate links. I got both the MyGlide and the MySpray free of charge from Pjur Love in exchange for my honest review: special thanks to Vanessa, the PR coordinator of the company.
