Pjur Love Superhero Glide

Today I have a special treat for my partner to test and review: the Pjur Love Superhero Glide!

We have already appreciated the energizing, performance-boosting effect of the Pjur Man Steel gel, however, we understand that not every couple is willing to buy both a specific 'better erection' product to use before intercourse, and their usual lubricant.

So, let's see how it goes with this Ginkgo-infused water-based glide, and if we can recommend it to our hundreds of readers who suffer from midway performance letdowns in the bedroom!

The packaging

We love the grey and black palette of the 100ml bottle: it's masculine and classy, and reminds us of high-end male skincare. We're happy to find it sealed in a plastic wrap for best hygiene, and to avoid possible spills during the shipping process.

On the back of the bottle the INCI is clearly visible, along with instructions for use in multiple languages. For the shelf life of the product and the lot number, we have to look on the base of the bottle.

The INCI

Ingredients: Glycerin, Aqua (Water), Hydroxypropyl Guar Hydroxypropyltrimonium Chloride, Hydroxyethylcellulose, Ginkgo Biloba (Leaf)  Extract, Benzyl Alcohol, Benzoic Acid, Sorbic Acid, Propylene Glycol, Phenoxyethanol, Methylparaben, Ethylparaben, Propylparaben, Butylparaben, CI 19140 (Acid Yellow 23), CI 42090 (Acid Blue No.9).

Yeah, there are some ingredients ending in -paraben, plus Propylene Glycol and Phenoxyethanol that are quite controversial among the cosmetics' experts.

CI 19140 (Acid Yellow 23) and CI 42090 (Acid Blue No.9) are colorants, while Benzyl Alcohol, Benzoic Acid and Sorbic Acid are preservatives. Hydroxypropyl Guar Hydroxypropyltrimonium Chloride and Hydroxyethylcellulose improve the viscosity of the product.

Ginkgo Biloba is among the first ingredients of the list: this means that the concentration in the product should be pretty high.

So, we're hoping for a strong energizing effect!

The Pjur Superhero Glide is compatible with latex condoms and with all sex toys.

The product

Despite its ultra-light, almost liquid consistency, the Pjur Superhero lubricant has excellent gliding properties: it's not sticky at all nor runny, and it doesn't dry up as fast as our average water-based lube.

It has no warming or tingling effect, however, the energizing effect can be truly seen as his penis engorges a little more than usual, like when he's using a cock ring.

We personally find that the erection-boosting effect of the Pjur Man Steel is stronger and more immediate, while this lube gets better and better over time, with regular use.

We also like to use both the products together: we are very satisfied with the results.

In summary

The Pjur Superhero Glide is an excellent water-based lube: its lightweight and non-sticky texture alone would put it on the top of our favourites' list!

However, it is also truly effective as a performance booster: until now, we have seen the best results by using it in combination with the Pjur Man Steel.

At 19.95€ on Pjur's official shop online, we find it a little more expensive than average: however, the high concentration of Ginkgo Biloba and the overall quality of the product make it worth its price.

We'll buy it again! If you would like to try it for yourself, you can buy it directly from Pjur here.

We got the product for free from Pjur in exchange for our honest review. Special thanks to Vanessa from the Luxembourgish company! Unaffiliated post.
