TMI Tuesday: I dream a world where sex is no more surrounded by taboos

This week I answered another fun sequence of questions by TMI Tuesday. The title, unfortunately, is a spoiler of my last answer... Enjoy!

1. Who was the first person you ever had a crush on? Why did you like them?

At 20 I had a crush on my shy, introverted and insecure coworker who, despite being nearly 10 years older than me, never had a girlfriend before. Our feelings were mutual but other coworkers kept calling him a loser for crushing on such a younger girl and saying that he should find someone his age. He felt so embarrassed he started to not even talk to me any more and I felt, well, shamed. You should not let what others think influence your life till that point.

Now that I'm older I realize that simply at 27-28 he wasn't yet mature enough to have a relationship.

2. What is the most important material possession you have and why?

My sex toys! They are mostly free items sent to me by companies for review and this makes them more precious: I consider them the tangible sign that someone appreciates and trusts my work.

Secondarily, they offer to me and my Daddy Dom hours and hours of fun! I will never be able anymore to live without them! If I go to a desert island (that would never happen, but so to speak) I would bring my full adult toy chest with me!

3. If you were a cake which cake would you be?

One that's as sweet as I am, but also crisp and crunchy because I am definitely not a "soft" kind of person: in the years I had several occasions to prove to myself how strong I can be.

4. Has anything/anyone every saved your life before?

My strength, my perseverance and having learnt to think positive, to always look at the glass half full. I often say, "what doesn't kill you, makes you stronger" and I'm convinced that I definitely won't be here writing this if I didn't learn to live my life according to this motto. I think I would be instead 24/7 on the sofa, annihilated by depression (without offence meant to people suffering from mental illness, which I respect and care about a lot).

5. If you could wake up tomorrow having gained any one quality or ability, what would it be?

Perhaps I would like the ability to never get angry at the shaming of others regarding my life as a sex blogger. They have a distorted image of me in their minds as an insatiable nympho, while I can't be more different than this: I am simply a normal woman with her ideals of sex positivity and feminism, that's all.

Bonus: Do you have a dream you’re pursuing? Tell us about it.

It's no secret I dream a world where sex is no more surrounded by taboos and stigmas. I want to never see anymore people shamed due to their gender identity or sexual orientation and preference. Also, I would like more respect for everyone who chooses sex work as their profession.

So far as I can in my small as a sex positive blogger, I try as hard as I can to educate people about those important topics: but mine is just a drop in the ocean. We should all fight as hard as we can so that in the future this big dream will eventually become a reality.
