Meo Anal Douche and Enema Bulb

Anal hygiene is essential especially before sex: who doesn't want to be perfectly tidy and clean down there?

Apart from the personal hygiene factor, you should know that bringing bacteria and nasties from the anus to the vagina, which may happen during intercourse or dildo play, can lead to infections. And let's not forget that a poor hygiene may help the spread of STIs!

So, that's why at the moment I'm testing and reviewing a series of innovative, high-quality products dedicated to anal hygiene: I've already enjoyed so much the MEO Hydro Blast Anal Shower Attachment and the You2Toys Black Velvets Anal/Vaginal Douche Small, not only for their efficiency as cleaning tools, but also for all the fun they brought to me and my partner as pleasure toys!

My goal is not only to educate readers about the importance of a proper hygiene before and after sex, but also to show them that, with the right products, cleaning can be really sexy: the dildo-like shapes of the two anal showers I've already tested were very stimulating, and their velvety-soft material made for great sensations.

To be honest, perhaps the Douche and Enema Bulb from MEO, among the other anal hygiene tools I've tested, is the one from which I was expecting the least fun: its shape is just like the one of a traditional enema, and the nozzle doesn't have ripples or stimulating bulges. But, will the practical test prove my theory right?

The anal douche came in the usual sealed plastic bag I get nearly all my MEO products in: I truly appreciate this kind of hygiene protection for the consumer. Inside, a promotional leaflet showing some other interesting products from the German brand immediately catches my attention.

Since I wouldn't consider myself an advanced user in the field of anal/vaginal showers, this one looks quite big once in my hands: it's bigger than the one from You2Toys I have already tried, and I thought it was smaller from the pics on MEO's website.

Still, I can't say that this product feels intimidating: the nozzle is made from an incredibly soft and silky kind of PVC that makes me think it will be easy to insert and comfortable on the skin. I've never thought that a sex toy made in body-safe PVC would feel that great to the touch!

The nozzle has just the right amount of squishiness, while still being rigid enough for penetration. On the tip, there are different holes to let the water run out, all surprisingly placed on the side rather than on the top. MEO explains this unusual positioning of the holes on the product page of the company's official shop online: "The holes point sideways instead of up, forcing the water against the walls of your body, for more effective and hygienic cleansing."

Looks clear: this way, the water flow not only stimuates the anal/vaginal walls, but also cleans the body with more precision. In other words: the product directs the water flow where you need it the most!

The bulb looks quite big: it can contain 300 ml of water. It's incredibly soft and squishy.

At this point I need to make my readers aware of an embarrassing accident happened to me with my product, and how the customer care at MEO got me out of trouble (no trips to the ER, luckily!).

The enema bulb comes with the nozzle inside it, placed upside down. I looked for that anal shower tip everywhere, without being able to realize that it actually was inside the bellows, d'oh!

But the positive side of this little misadventure is how quick and efficient the customer care at MEO has been at solving my issue: in 24 hours I got a reply from the friendly and professional Patrizia. Customer care is definitely one of the strengths of the German company!

For what concerns the use of the product, I had guessed correctly that the smoothness and softness of the nozzle would allow super-easy insertion: the curved, anatomical shape helps too. This toy is compatible with both silicone-based and water-based lubes.

I found that the particular way the water flows out from the tiny holes placed on both sides of the tip is very stimulating for both anal and vaginal use.

The biggest capacity of the bulb, in comparison with other showers I had already tried, allows for longer watersports sessions in the shower with my partner, along with a more throrough hygiene.

Filling the douche is a child's play: you just unscrew the nozzle, and then you pour water inside the bulb straight from the shower or sink. That's why, when Daddy and I have limited time to play, we tend to reach for this one rather than having to install the MEO Hydro Blast Anal Shower Attachment on our shower hose.

But, thanks to its convenience, I use the MEO Douche and Enema Bulb on my own too: mainly to feel confident for anal sex. I would advise against using it too much for cleaning your vagina: female genitals have the ability to wash themselves on their own, and interfering with this natural process may actually disrupt the precious pH balance that protects us against yeast infections and other intimate health issues.

This douche is an easy to use and reliable solution for anal hygiene: at the reasonable price of 14.90€, why shouldn't I recommend it? If you feel like trying it, buy your own here.
